Booking Terms

By engaging with our services and paying for a MIAM appointment or other mediation invoice, you confirm that you have read and agree to these booking terms.

  1. Payment must be received by the payment deadline shown on the invoice for the appointment to remain reserved, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with Access Family Mediation.

Cancellation

  1. If you cancel an appointment 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time, a £10 administration fee will be deducted from any refund.

  2. If you cancel less than 48 hours but at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, 50% of the appointment fee will be retained and the remaining 50% refunded.

  3. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, or do not attend the appointment, 100% of the appointment fee will be retained.

Rescheduling

  1. Where a request to reschedule is made 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time, no rescheduling charge will apply.

  2. Where a request to reschedule is made less than 48 hours but at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, a rescheduling charge equal to 25% of the appointment fee will apply. The original payment will otherwise be credited towards the rearranged appointment.

  3. Where a request to reschedule is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, a rescheduling charge equal to 50% of the appointment fee will apply. The original payment will otherwise be credited towards the rearranged appointment.

  4. Where an appointment has previously been rescheduled, Access Family Mediation may require a new booking and payment before offering a further appointment.

Joint mediation sessions

  1. Where a joint mediation session cannot proceed because one participant cancels or does not attend, any cancellation charge will normally apply only to that participant. Any payment made by the other participant will be refunded or credited towards a future session.

Cancellation by Access Family Mediation

  1. If Access Family Mediation needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, no cancellation or rescheduling charge will apply and any payment made will either be refunded in full or transferred to a rearranged appointment.

  2. We may waive or reduce a cancellation or rescheduling charge where we consider this reasonable in the circumstances.

These terms do not affect any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have.
