How to book your MIAM

Booking your MIAM (Mediation Information & Assessment Meeting) is a straightforward process.
This page explains what you’ll need and what happens next.

  • MIAM appointments can be booked securely online using the booking system on this website.
When booking, you will be asked to:

    • choose an available appointment time

    • provide basic contact details

    • answer a small number of questions to help prepare for the meeting

This information is kept confidential and helps ensure the MIAM is appropriate for your situation.

  • Once your MIAM is booked, you will receive a confirmation email with:

    • the date and time of your MIAM

    • a secure video link (for online MIAMs)

    • information about what will happen during the meeting

    • details of the fee and payment process

    • instructions on how to rearrange if needed

If you have any questions before your MIAM, you are welcome to get in touch.

  • Description text goes here
  • At the end of the MIAM, we will discuss what happens next.

    This may include:

    • proceeding to joint mediation sessions (if suitable)

    • inviting the other person to attend their own MIAM

    • providing a MIAM certificate for a court application (where appropriate)

    • signposting to alternative options if mediation is not suitable

Everything will be explained clearly so you can decide how to proceed.

  • You do not need to prepare documents or paperwork in advance.

    You simply need:

    • a private space to attend the meeting

    • a reliable internet connection (for online MIAMs)

    • any questions you would like to ask

  • MIAMs are charged at a fixed, transparent rate.
The fee will be clearly shown during booking, with no hidden costs.

If you are eligible for the mediation voucher scheme or other support, this can be discussed during your MIAM.
